Captains of all teams competing in 2008 will be offered team numbers in the 2009 tournament corresponding with their final positioning. If the captain of a team that is offered a spot chooses not to fish, the offer will then be made to the qualifying partner. If the partner accepts the offer the partner then becomes team captain. The new captain must fish as captain of the team in order to hold the team number and qualifying spot. The captain must complete a 2009 Entry Form and make a $250.00 non-refundable deposit by September 30th.
The Team #124 spot in the 2009 tournament was sold by auction at the end of the 2008 event. The captain of Team #124 is Robert Weaver of Tyler Texas.
Winning teams of seven 2008 regional bass tournaments are offered spots in the 2009 FFCBC.
All other anglers who wish to compete in 2009 must enter through the Random Draw that will be held in early October. Entrants in the random public draw must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age as of June 30, 2009. Entrants must complete a Random Draw Entry Form and submit a $250.00 entry fee deposit by September 30th.
The results of a Random Public Draw will determine the captains for teams starting at team #125 and will also establish a Waiting List. Entrants in the Random Draw will be contacted in the order that their names were drawn to confirm participation. Upon confirmation of participation a team number will be assigned.
An entrant accepting a team number becomes the captain of the team. The position of team captain is not transferable. If, for any reason, the captain does not fish, the team number will be scratched and an opening will become available for an entrant from the Waiting List. The $250.00 entry fee deposit is processed and becomes non-refundable when participation is confirmed and a team number is assigned.
In all cases the Entry Fee must be paid in full by April 30, 2008.
